This holiday season has already taken on a different tone with companies deciding what they want to do for this holiday season. Budgets are tight, people are pandemic weary and last year’s holiday promotion strategies were very different. Instead, it’s time to listen to your clients and employ some unique marketing ideas to make this season successful.
Here are 5 strategies you can implement right away:
Give Back. Studies have shown that companies who donate a portion of their proceeds to a cause will typically see an increase in sales. It shows that you truly care about your community, which, in turn, leads to increased customer loyalty as you will most likely be top of mind when it comes time to purchase. Your donation doesn’t always have to be a portion of product sales, it can be by sponsoring a local charity event, donating product to be auctioned off or even as simple as putting a donation button for the charity of your choice on your website.
Create a Gift Bundle. This holiday season, people are looking to save money on all their gifts. Instead of offering big discounts, create unique gift bundles that will make shopping easier for your clients. Whether it’s a “spa package” or a bundle of your best-selling products, not only will it make your clients happy, it may just increase your average unit sale. Promote the “Unboxing Experience”. People love to see what’s inside the box. A great way to promote your products and services this holiday season is to create a video of you or an influencer unboxing one of your gift bundles. You can then promote the video on your website and social media platforms to show your clients what they can expect when they get the box in the mail. Host a Virtual Holiday Event. Chances are you’ve attended a virtual zoom event or two over the last few months. For the holidays, why not host your own virtual holiday event? Whether it’s an opportunity to showcase your products or services, or just a virtual party to say thank you to your clients, it’s a unique way to bring people together and show them who you are and that you care. Send them a special gift box prior to the event and have everyone open at the same time!
Offer a Holiday-Exclusive Special Service. The holidays are stressful, and people appreciate anything you can do to help alleviate some of that stress. Think about offering some sort of complimentary service as a thank you for their patronage. It could be as simple as offering a free download of helpful tips, recipes, etc. that relate to your product or service, or more substantial as free gift wrapping.
